ABOUT
I'm glad you are here. We don't say that to each other enough. We are so quick to complain yet when something goes well, are we as quick to speak up? Research says no. So let me say again: I am glad you are here.
Eunoia (pronounced u-noy-ya) is a Greek word with several meanings. In the fields of psychology and medicine it means 'beautiful thinking' or 'well mind.' That is what this site is about: cultivating beautiful thinking, which in turn creates beautiful action.
I am a graduate student in a multi-cultural, clinical social work program and this space is dedicated to exploring eunoia: through the written word, the spoken word, through movement and artistry. I am a registered yoga teacher and will be certified in meditation through The Chopra Center this year. As I complete my courses of study I will be using this space to compile thoughts on social work and mental health, meditations, yoga philosophy, and creative expression encompassing the above areas of interest. I welcome you to get comfortable and stay for a while.
